BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — At approximately 1:50 p.m. Tuesday afternoon, officials from the Boston Latin Academy in Roxbury discovered a plastic bag containing ammunition on the school’s loading dock.
Since the bag was found after classes ended for the day, the school community didn’t need to go into “safe mode,” officials said.
Boston police were called immediately after the bullets were located and arrived on the scene within minutes, school officials said. The BPD conducted a sweep of the BLS and found no other suspicious objects, but said its investigation is ongoing.
